Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers are made with Hyaluronic Acid which is a natural substance found in many different parts of the body, including the skin, eyes and joints. They have been used for decades to replenish volume loss associated with ageing in the face, neck and elsewhere, with a long established safety profile.
We do not recommend this procedure if one or more of the following applies to you:
- Allergy to Hyaluronic Acid or Lidocaine
- Current infectious skin diseases
- Bleeding or coagulation disorders
- Certain medications
- Pregnant or lactating
- Certain autoimmune diseases
- These will be discussed further in detail as part of your Consultation
This procedure will help solve a wide range of issues such as:
- Loss of original facial volume
- Age-related changes in facial contour
- Deep nasolabial folds and facial creases
- Marionette lines at corners of the mouth
- Deep lines and wrinkles
- Volume loss affecting lips and loss of the original contour and shape of lips
- Reduction of scars, including acne scars.
Injectable dermal filler is used to smooth wrinkles, replace volume loss and improve the contour of and proportions of various parts of the face, depending on individual variation. After detailed Consultation, the procedure takes between 15 minutes and 1 hour and is carried out with numbing medication which allows it to be virtually pain free.
Prior to any procedure being carried out there will be an individualized Consultation with an experienced Practitioner, which will outline in detail the most appropriate treatments available.
