Thread Lift (non surgical face lift)

Overview

Thread lifts are minimally invasive procedures aiming to lift and tighten sagging skin, providing a rejuvenated appearance. Medical-grade threads, often PDO or poly-L-lactic acid, are strategically inserted under the skin. Utilizing small surgical sutures with barb-like cogs, these threads lift and support drooping areas, offering long-lasting support in deep tissues. The procedure's effectiveness varies based on factors like age, sagging degree, and thread quantity. Skin Fresch Clinic use Mint (PDO) threads, a PDO monofilament suture, notable for being the first dual FDA-cleared medical device for skin approximation and nasolabial fold depth reduction. This innovative approach ensures optimal, non-surgical lift results with enduring benefits.

What does it solve?

Thread lifts address a variety of cosmetic concerns, offering numerous benefits:

Non-Surgical Facelift: Thread lifts offer a non-surgical alternative to a traditional facelift, providing a more youthful and lifted appearance without the need for extensive surgery.

Fine Lines and Wrinkles: The procedure minimizes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, contributing to a more youthful complexion.

Loss of Facial Volume: Thread lifts address the loss of facial volume, restoring a fuller and more rejuvenated look.

Laxity in the Neck and Jawline: Sagging skin in the neck and jawline is lifted and tightened, enhancing overall facial contour.

Minimized Scarring: The minimally invasive nature of thread lifts reduces the risk of scarring compared to more invasive surgical options.

Quick Recovery: With less downtime, individuals can resume their normal activities sooner than with traditional facelift surgeries.

Collagen Stimulation: The presence of threads stimulates collagen production, improving skin texture and firmness over time.

Natural Appearance: Thread lifts provide a natural-looking lift, avoiding the unnatural pulled or stretched appearance associated with some traditional facelift procedures.

Versatile Solutions: Thread lifts are versatile and can be used to address various facial areas, the neck, and even other parts of the body.

Immediate and Long-lasting Results: The results are often visible immediately, and the effects can last for several months to a couple of years, depending on the type of threads used.

The Procedure

The thread lift involves using small surgical sutures with tiny barb-like cogs to lift and support drooping areas of the brow, cheeks, face, and neck. Precise insertion of threads, done with a long needle, allows them to open like an umbrella under the skin, forming a supportive structure that gently lifts and repositions tissues for a more vertical and youthful appearance.

Once the lift is achieved, the needle is removed, and the thread end is trimmed and knotted, retracting it deep under the skin. These non-absorbable threads remain in the deep tissues, offering long-lasting support without being felt or seen. The effectiveness of a Thread Lift procedure varies based on factors such as the patient's age, the degree of sagging, and the number of threads used. Results have demonstrated that the duration and extent of improvement are influenced by these variables.
